LRP achieve outstanding appeal success for client facing second deportation order. We successfully represented our client who faced deportation following a 7 year custodial sentence. Following a successful appeal to the Court of Appeal http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Civ/2009/240.html the court ordered the Tribunal to reconsider the client’s case and his substantive appeal was allowed. Prior to the grant of leave the client was convicted of a further offence and the Secretary of State decided to commence fresh deportation proceedings against the client. Uniquely, his further appeal was again allowed under Article 8 of the ECHR on the grounds that his deportation would result in an unfair interference with his family life in the UK.
